LECTURE 1 May 7. (Thursday) 12:00, Room É. 7.55 „EARLY MODERN STATISTICS, DEMOGRAPHY, ECONOMY, AND CARTOGRAPHY OF THE EASTERN ADRIATIC ESTATE OF BORELLI
„ The lecture focuses on the Dalmatian region around Zadar between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries, examining demographic trends (including migration), as well as economic and political developments within the feudal estate of the Italian count Francesco Borelli.

LECTURE 2 May 11. (Monday) 15:00 Room É. 7.55 „CHALLENGES OF QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS OF EARLY MAPS: THE CASE OF LAZARUS SECRETARIUS’S TABULA HUNGARIE AND ITS CONTRIBUTION TO THE PRESERVATION OF PRE-OTTOMAN TOPONYMS”
The lecture presents recent research on the 1528 Lazarus map, with particular focus on the Croatian lands between the Sava, Danube, and Drava rivers, examined within a broader historiographic and geographical framework, including methodological approaches and analytical tools.

The the 45-minute presentations with slides are conducted in English.

All interested faculty and students are warmly invited.
